Before Steam for Linux was released, the gaming capabilities of Linux were laughable, but that's not the case anymore. The platform has moved on from virtually no major games to 1,300 titles on Steam, and we're not even counting the ones that are only available on GOG.com.
There is a total of 5877 games for the Windows platform, which means that one in four games on Steam has Linux support. Just a few months ago that fraction was one in five. Things are getting better with each passing day, and there is no reason to believe that things are about to change anytime soon.
