Slackware 11.0 RC3 är ute!
"Here is Slackware 11.0 release candidate 3. I think most of the irresistible upgrades are in here now, and the bug reports have been mostly handled. There may still be a few changes, and possibly another release candidate, but this is pretty close to final with the exception of updating documentation and building ZipSlack. Thanks very much to everyone who is helping to test these release candidates -- I think this is going to be a very up to date and stable release."

Nu har Slackware blivit RC2 och är fryst för uppdateringar.
Så nu kommer endast buguppdateringar tas emot och troligen säkerhetsuppdateringar.
Detta innebär att snart är 11.0 Stable här för den som väntar.

Tänkte bara upplysa såhär en dag i efterhand att Slackware 11.0 RC1 är nu ute. Dock ej som iso men current har kommit i det steget enligt Pat.

Fix nasty /proc vulnerability
We have a bad interaction with both the kernel and user space being able
to change some of the /proc file status. This fixes the most obvious
part of it, but I expect we'll also make it harder for users to modify
even their "own" files in /proc.
